Mathematics is the number one subject that is responsible for failure amongst Standard X students. This is especially true of students studying in government schools. These students come from impoverished families, and are usually first time learners in their family- they can neither afford private schools nor tuitions to supplement their learning. Providing them a support system (i.e. free tuitions) would enable them to pass Standard X Board exams, which would enable them to create a better life for themselves in the future.
Deepak Menon and a few of his friends are giving free Maths tuitions to students studying at the Jeevan Bhima Nagar Government School. They need 10 more volunteers to teach Maths. If you can speak Kannada fluently it would be a Godsend. They teach from 8:30 am to 9:30 am every weekday (Monday-Friday). In case the above mentioned time is a constraint 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm is the alternate time to teach these students.
